Session I (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM)
Oral History as Memory, History and Resistance with Nandini Oza*, Writer, Oral Historian, and Long-time activist with the Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA). Ms Oza has also been former President of the Oral History Association of India (2020–22). Her work documents people’s histories of environmental and social justice movements across India.
Session II (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
Oral History as Storytelling: Examples from Participative and Community-led Oral Histories with Surajit Sarkar* , Independent Researcher and Museum Designer, currently Curator at the Kerala Museum, Kochi. Formerly Associate Professor at Ambedkar University Delhi and President of the Oral History Association of India (2017–19), he has contributed extensively to heritage, community knowledge, and public history initiatives.
