Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) invites young designers, weavers, and artisans to participate in the National Textile CAD Design Competition 2025 on the occasion of the 11th National Handloom Day
About the Competition
- Theme: Reimagining Indian Handlooms – Through Digital Eyes.
- Create CAD-based digital interpretations of traditional Indian weaves using modern design tools.
- Mode: Online (Design from Home / College / Studio)
- Registration Fee: ₹ 250
- Last Date to Apply: 15th August 2025
Prizes:
- 1st Prize – ₹5,000 + Certificate of Excellence + Digital Showcase in TSC Website + Opportunity to co-develop design with leading designer
- 2nd Prize – ₹3,000 + Certificate of Merit + Digital Showcase in TSC Website
- 3rd Prize – ₹2,000 + Certificate of Appreciation + Digital Showcase in TSC Website

Competition Details and guidelines
Participation Guidelines:
- Design Focus:
o Must be inspired by Indian handlooms (Styles like Banarasi, Kanchipuram, Sambalpuri Ikat,
Pochampalli, Bhagalpur, Berhampuri, or any traditional weave from India)
o Can be a repeat pattern, saree layout, or home textile motif - Design Creation:
o Must be created using digital tools: CAD software, Photoshop, Illustrator, or any textile design
software
o No hand-drawn scans or copied designs allowed - Submission Format:
o High-resolution JPEG/PNG/PDF file (300 DPI) of the design
o Title and short concept note (max 100 words)
o Must include a Declaration of Originality (self-attested) - Originality Clause (Mandatory):
It is required to submit the declaration of original creation of the design. Refer to Annexure 1 for the format - Submission Deadline: 15th August 2025
