About the Competition

  • 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘚𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 Inter College Online Competition on World Soil Day 2025. The competition is designed to creatively engage Bengaluru’s youth in awareness on soil conservation, urban sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
  • All entries must reflect the theme “Healthy Soils for Healthy Cities.”
  • Free Participants
  • Submissions must be original and created by the participant.
  • Deadline: December 10, 2025.
  • Why Participate: Recognition for top performers

  • Showcase your creativity on a high-impact platform
  • Get featured through TERI’s outreach channels.
  • Any student (18-24 years of age)
  • Prizes: Medal , trophies and internship opportunities.

1.Soil in a Snap:

  • The Under-3-Minute Challenge REC
  • Storytelling Video (Under 3 Minutes)
  • THEMES: soil health, terrace gardens, composting, soil biodiversity, construction impacts, or urban soil conservation, etc.
  • Languages: English / Kannada / Hindi.

2.Urban Soil Photography

  • Submit one original photogaphy.
  • THEMES: soil degradation, construction
  • impacts, terrace gardens, soil organisms, soil pollution, or water-soil interactions in city spaces, etc.
  • Include a title + 50-80 word caption.

3.Digital Poster/Infographic Design

  • THEMES: soil conservation, waste management, soil-climate interactions, urban biodiversity, or green infrastructure etc.

Judging Criteria

  1. Relevance to theme
  2. Creativity & originality
  3. Message clarity & impact
  4. Technical quality
  5. Scientific accuracy (for posters)
  6. Composition (for photography)
