About the FDP

The Faculty Development Programme (FOP) on Innovations and Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Civil Engineenng: An SDG Perspective aims to enhance the knowledge and competencies of faculty members in aligning civil engineering practices with the principles of sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The programme focuses on integrating modem technologies and innovative approaches to address contemporary challenges in infrastructure development, resource management, and environmental conservation.

Key areas include sustainable matenals and construction practices, green building technologies, smart infrastructure systems, artificial inteligence and lot applications in civil engineering, waste to resource technologies, and climate reslient design strategies.
The FDP will also highlight case studies and best practices demonstrating how engineoning innovation can drive progress toward SDGs such as clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), affordable and dean energy (SDG 7), sustainable cities and commuribes (SIG 11), and cimate action (SDG 13) mc. Though expert lectures, hands-on sessions, and interactive discussions, participants will gain insights into the latest research tronds, digital tools, and policy frameworks fostering sustainability in in civil engineering education and practice.
