Digital Poster Making Competition on World No Tabacco Day 2025

World No Tobacco Day (31st May 2025), as Leo Club of Kathmandu Dreamland proudly hosts a Digital Poster Making Competition.
This event aims to raise awareness about the alarming rise in nicotine product use among youth. So, let your design speak loud against tobacco and inspire change!

About the Competition

1. Poster should be made/ designed based on theme by WHO. It must be interactive & informative, minimalist & elegant designs are highly encouraged.

2. All the posters submitted till submission deadline will be valid. Incase of found use of AI or plagiarism, it will be disqualified.

3. All the submitted posters will be posted via our official social handlings. So, it is mandatory to like & follow our official handlings.

4. Evaluation criteria: 

      A) It will be base on two categories. a) Social Media likes, comments & shares. b) Judge Panel score

      B) The likes, comments & shares on posted via official pages will only be considered. Each like count 1 point, each comment as 2 points & each share as 5 points. The likes, comments & shares up to 4th of June midnight will only be taken in count.

      C) Judge panel will consist of 3 different judges from different fields. Scoring will be based on theme, detailing & color harmony, creativity & aesthetics.

      D) Both the scores will added & participants with most points will be declared as winner.  

5. Submission Deadline: Till 12:00 PM of 30th May, 2025  

6. Winners will be announced via our official page by 8/9th of June, 2025. Champion will be awarded with exciting gift.

On the occasion of WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY which is on  31st of May, Leo Club Of Kathmandu Dreamland has organized a Digital Poster making Competition in order  to spread awareness among the people. 

As the consumption & its hazardous effect on health is seen increasing  in National & International health Data. According to WHO, the theme for World No Tobacco Day 2025 is “Unmasking the appeal”, highlights how the tobacco and nicotine industries use marketing strategies to make their harmful products attractive, particularly to young people. 

What is the purpose of creating awareness?

 – The rise in nicotine product use among youth is alarming. In 2022, an estimated 12.5% of adolescents in the Region used e-cigarettes, compared to only 2% of adults.

In some countries, e-cigarette use among school-aged children was 2–3 times higher than cigarette smoking, underscoring the urgent need for stronger regulations and youth-focused prevention efforts.[Source: WHO]
