About the Workshop:

The Research Methodology Course on “Data-Driven Research Methods in Social Sciences and Academic Research Integrity” is designed primarily for doctoral students actively engaged in research within the fields of Social Sciences, Commerce, and Management. Research in the social sciences is undergoing a significant transformation.

Today, researchers across various disciplines are expected to work with diverse forms of evidence such as survey data, administrative datasets, qualitative interviews, experimental designs, and even digital footprints generated by technology-based platforms.

This shift has created new opportunities for rigorous inquiry, but it has also introduced challenges for scholars who lack formal training in modern research methods, analytical tools, and publication standards.

At the same time, increased emphasis on research ethics, data transparency, and integrity requires scholars to adopt responsible research practices and avoid common academic pitfalls.

In this context, the RMC on “Data-Driven Research Methods in Social Sciences and Academic Research Integrity” is proposed as a structured and highly practical learning programme. The workshop offers a complete research skill-building journey, beginning from research foundations and moving towards advanced quantitative, qualitative, and experimental techniques.

It also incorporates hands-on exposure to widely used research tools such as STATA, Smart PLS, NVivo/ATLAS.ti, and reference management software, enabling participants to translate conceptual knowledge into real academic outputs.
