National Level Online Quiz Competition on the theme “Dr. S. R. Ranganathan and Library and Information Science” on 11th August 2026, 3.30 PM, on the occasion of National Librarian’s Day 2026, being observed on 12th August 2026, in commemoration of the life and contributions of Padma Shri Dr. Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan, widely regarded as the Father of Library Science in India.
The quiz aims to promote awareness of Dr. Ranganathan’s pioneering contributions, including the Five Laws of Library Science, the Colon Classification scheme, and his broader legacy in shaping the field of Library and Information Science (LIS), and to encourage active engagement among students, researchers, and professionals in the discipline.
The top three winners will be announced on the eve of the National Librarian’s Day on 12th August 2026 on the INFLIBNET Center Website.
